Learnings from moving cities
In the olden days most people lived their entire lives in the place of their birth. That is not the case now. Many of us move around the country for better education, career or marriage. I am a classic example of this phenomenon. I was born in Maharashtra where I completed my elementary schooling, moved to Kerala where I completed my secondary education, and then went to Tamil Nadu for my graduation. Subsequently I shifted to Karnataka to work and have been in Bangalore for two years now.
Shifting cities has played a crucial role in my development. I have experienced different cultures, cuisines, rituals and ways of life. It is always challenging to find your way around a new place, make new friends, and adapt to a new environment. Sometimes I faced difficulties in learning the local language, blending in with a new set of social and cultural norms, and felt disadvantaged due to not being a local. However, my family has always provided me with the encouragement and support I have needed to hold my chin up and continue working on improving the quality of my life and broadening my horizon.

Moving around has taught me that if you want to flourish in life, you must get out of your comfort zone and embrace the unknown. I have never become rigid in my routine, and this has allowed me to adjust to different ways of living. I have become more adaptable and hardier and have learnt how to deal with all sorts of people. All this has helped in my personal growth and improved my decision-making skills. Migrating has definitely been a transformative experience for me.
